Born in Taiwan, Yuan-Wen Wang has been developing art in different forms. In 2008 she moved to Barcelona after graduating from the National Taiwan University of Arts. In 2010, she began to develop abstract art. 

The artist has been using a variety of expressions to communicate with the audience. The common elements in the artists' paintings are: the Asian root and the experiences of living in western cultures. She focuses on her creative efforts in the process, there is no hierarchy in which some images are above the others. One image always suggests another and it is in that search where the artist finds her fate.

She tries, through the artistic praxis, to dig up and unearth its own meanings: a sort of spiritual emptying that takes place on the paper.
